I have to apologise right now for the utter cackness of these pictures - now I know you may say it's not like my pictures are EVER works of art but even I think that they're not usually as bad as these. They are soooo indescribably cute but the I have failed miserably at capturing this on camera (I almost wrote film but it’s not is it) They’re just so wriggly and it’s hard to hold them still without being REALLY forceful and they’re waaay too weeny to be anything but gentle with or I fear they will just break in my hands and that would DESTROY me!

anyway – without further ado I would like you to meet Marvelous (Marvy) the mammy cat who is possibly the sweetest most friendly cat you will ever EVER meet. She purred throughout the birth and she LOVES those teenies – but at the same time she also loves Gareth and I and often noses an annoying kitten towards us while she has a rest. Marv is GREAT with children and other cats (though who wouldn’t be good with my babydavidlad?) I KNOW we will have no problems making sure she never EVER has to go back to the shelter – I honestly can’t understand how she ended up without a home in the first place – no can’t think about it I’ll get upset!
(fatty on the toilet seat – they’re living in the bathroom for now)
Because we’re not keeping the kittens we have TRIED not to name them but I NEED to talk to them I just can’t help it and it’s rude to talk to someone and NEVER use their name so they just seem to have happened upon their temporary names of Fatty, Clicker, Punky and Runty.
(punky is so named because of the weird spikey hairdo he so often sports)
They are just now getting to the age where they are learning to communicate with each other and Marvelous and even sometimes show signs of starting to PLAY – there is nothing cuter than their attempts at playing.. or indeed walking.. they still kind of just wobble around with their oversized heavy heads it’s SOOO CUTE!!!
(they’re so small I really have to fight to urge to put them in my mouth – oral fixation shut up)
I did take some video footage of them which more accurately shows the SQUEEEEEEFUL cuteness but my STUPID laptop won’t let me play with the footage just yet
(if only you could hear their teeeenie voices tooo * dies * this is ruuunteeeeeeeee cutest of the cute and soooooo small)
I am pretty sure we will have re-homed them all before the time comes to return them to the shelter though of course kittens have to be paid for as it’s the ONLY way the shelter make money since adult cats are free to good homes. Ellie and Jordan are VERY interested in one (maybe two if I can get my way) I am not sure if Lisa and Kevin or Becca and Craig really want two cats but you know… we can always try.. because cats are just happier in twos!
(clicker who is so called because she learned to purr first but it sounds like a lovely tiny clicking noise)
We still get to enjoy their adorable cuteness for another 3-4 weeks yet and in that time I hope to get at least ONE decent picture of them.
(fatty again – last born but about 3 times the size of the others)
Of course when I do you will be the FIRST to see it (after me) any of you who live nearby – they are now getting to the age where they need to be handled and loved and stroked as much as possible in order to make them friendly with people so do feel free to come over and join the cuddle patrol…
(the rubber duck was much more willing to pose and I wanted one non blurry picture… shame about the messy hair and spots eh)
and I know I’m not as cute as the reallyweenyteenies but you can bring me a few cuddles too if you likes!
Now back to work naughty moo
